Spike Direction the soundtrack to a 2am existential crisis, when you're up alone and it's quiet enough to hear every little ambient sound swell around you like a symphony. Favorite track: Good Man.

Liar 04:16
I laid my head in a strange new place I dared not whisper her name The loss made the side of the bed seem far away Dragged down I'm bound and I'm shamed It steals my good and it covers my face Some shared this bed for a time but it's all time wasted There's a liar in my bed and he's dining on hearts and he whispers sweet nothings and it's all that they are There's a liar in my bed and he's wearing me So if you see this face get out lest you be next... I'm overrun I'll coerce and I'll lie and by the morning I won't be by your side I'm just hollow, wrapped up in the sheets of ghosts I can't dispel There's a liar in my bed and he's dining on hearts and he whispers sweet nothings and it's all that they are There's a liar in my bed and he's wearing me So if you see this face get out lest you be next...

Dust 03:46
I am awoken by heavy air My fellow nomads no longer there I don't know if I'll ever catch them now I'm dry and dehydrated Guess that's the price that I'll pay For time I spent burning with a blue flame I'm well aware I am left in your dust And I will get clear, I'll choke if I must 'Cause I, I realised you never looked back did you? I'm chasing after phantoms Figures lost over horizons The footprints now are sure just my own The winds now carry me around Like dust they lifted off the ground I'm not waiting to be found I'm well aware I am left in your dust And I will get clear, I'll choke if I must 'Cause I, I realised you never looked back did you? It haunted my why you forgot but I won't be haunted no more Like the dust from my boots, The footprints left behind I feel that I am exorcised

Good Man 04:36
The man of fire in a coma inside me To wake him up you'd first have to find him Carried the light to fight the good fight Mistakenly he thought he'd go in glory if he died I try to be a good man My heart is of a good man My way is of a good man I'll falter like a good man I'll suffer like a good man I need to be a good man But I am not a good man any more Please understand the wolf is at your door Protect what's left and burn all the rest In ashes of my passion I have turned a silhouette You need some light to fight the good fight Shadow's of no use when your bright is too slight I thought that burning with a blue flame would reignite the fire inside me The man of fire's sleep deepens when he's drowned in whiskey I try to be a good man My heart is of a good man My way is of a good man I'll falter like a good man I'll suffer like a good man I need to be a good man But I am not a good man any more Please understand the wolf is at your door I don't know who I am anymore I'm just scratching at your door

Falter 04:48
If I should ever get to heaven, I've got a list of questions I want answered I'll take my place in the longest queue I'm sure it stretches out the door I was the weakest in your flock and I faltered I poured a flood and I drowned myself in it I was weighed down by the weight of your expectations And now I've come up as a wolf Lost grip on the rope of faith I'm sure the good lord was trying to hang me with it In truth the weight of all I carry around Would probably make it snap itself I was the weakest in your flock and I faltered I poured a flood and I drowned myself in it I was weighed down by the weight of your expectations And now I've come up as a wolf

Tree branches bow under the weight of all their birds Just silhouettes and ghosts on this October morning There's a greying in the air, a tightness on the lungs You can hear it in this voice, I'm choking on this love Gone is the hue of the halcyon days Fearing the phantoms, fearing the phantoms in the grey The trees are moving as the breeze delivers purpose, whispers them instruction, the air in here is still I'm stifled and static staring out the window Nothing of interest, just silhouettes and ghosts... Gone is the hue of the halcyon days Fearing the phantoms, fearing the phantoms in the grey

about

Drawing on influences such as Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush, Bat for Lashes, Florence and the Machine, Nine Inch Nails and Fever Ray this collection of songs is somewhat different to a lot of material I've written. I'm proud to finally have finished the songs up (some parts date as far back as 2013) and in a way it feels like I've at the very least wounded a few of my inner demons in doing so.
